My name is Lester. SkateGift is an independent publication that my wife Idy and I started on our own. She loves painting.

SkateGift was inspired by my son, Plam.

He has been skating on ice since he was 3.
At 6, he started roller skating.
At age 7, he got really into skateboarding.

Skateboarding was his passion, therefore he wrote about it for homework and creative projects.   He was told by his teacher to stop writing about skateboarding.

Skateboarding is our main hobby as a family.
After he does his homework every day, we take him to skate parks. We enjoy traveling throughout the world to visit skate parks, learn about different skating cultures, and make new friends.

He loves skateboarding and enters contests. He hopes to become a skate pro one day. We spent a lot of time learning about what gear is good for skating and reading a lot of reviews on the Internet. We even tried out what gears are best for Plam. SkateGift is made because of this.

Our goal is to give people who love to skate useful information about skate gears so they can save time and money and choose gears that are right for them.

SkateGift has three meanings.

1) I think skating is a gift for every skater because it forces you to live in the moment. (Get out of your mind)

2) I think skateboarding is a gift for my son because he can't live without it.

3) I hope that when Plam gets older, we'll give him SkateGift as a gift because we really believe that his enthusiasm for skateboarding will have a beneficial impact on other people.

We hope SkateGift becomes your home. Feel welcome to return every day. Enjoy the ride.
